  MultiScaling Integrated Counters MuSIC ®

This card is designed for acquisition and nuclear signal processing (spectrometry, counting, datation) in PCAT format.

Cesigma offers a set of event counters cards with many time scales. These products belong to  MuSIC ® family and are available with different kind of bus (PC AT, VME, PCI and CompactPCI). The number of channel for each card varies from 2 to 8.

A clock and triggering synchronous device  allows in association of few cards, to provide a full synchronized counting system.

Drivers are available under different operating systems :

            MS-DOS (MuSICâ x AT only)
          Window 3.1, 95,98
          Windows NT,XP
Unix (SCO Unix et Solaris 2.x)

In addition, the main software functionalities are compatible with some other cards of same type. Data acquisition can be triggered by external command.

These cards have many numerical inputs (2 to 8) (TTL level up to 100 MHz), fiber optic input (module in option) and integrate a multi-synchronous device which allows to trigger the acquisition synchronously on many channels.

A powerful configuration and acquisition software is available under Windows.

A high-level C/C++ library is also available.

    Main characteristics :
MuSIC 2AT (Bus PC AT)   2 counting channels
MuSIC 4AT (Bus PC AT)   4 counting channels
MuSIC 4PCI (Bus PCI)   4 counting channels (in development)
MuSIC 4C PCI (Compact PCI)   4 counting channels (in development)
MuSIC V (VME and VXI bus)   4 or 8 counting channels
    Channel's characteristics :

integration time from 2 ms to 30 minutes (independently on each channel),
256 Koctets of memory per channel,
65536 levels per channel in simple mode,
32768 levels per channel in mirror or flash mode,
resolution : 24 bits in full counting or 32 bits in cumulated counting
Internal or external triggering and stop counting
32 bits internal bus per channel

( fiber optic input module in option, SCA module in option, NIM module in option )
